We’re proud to announce the 4th season of the Addiction Practice Pod, a podcast for healthcare professionals. In this program, journalist David Ball and a rotating cast of clinical co-hosts provide evidence-based insights for addiction care, learning from patients and practitioners in BC and beyond.
This season spotlights Indigenous perspectives to addiction medicine, highlighting effective, compassionate, and culturally-appropriate approaches. Episodes cover topics like: embracing culture as medicine, addressing stigma and marginalization inside and outside the healthcare system, and using Indigenous harm reduction to reduce the impacts of colonialism. Listeners will hear frank conversations with extraordinary guests, each stressing a strengths-based approach to care and wellness.
The podcast is published by the BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU), with production support from Cited Media. You can hear a trailer above, and can find the full series on the BCCSU website and at the links below.
